Kakamega MCA Sylivia Muteshi apologizes after recording video accusing local MP of cheating on her

Ms. Muteshi, in the video, accused the MP of having affairs with multiple women.

Kakamega nominated MCA Sylvia Muteshi has come out to apologize for recording a video in which she burned clothes she claimed to belong to a local MP, whom she accused of cheating.

The video went viral and sparked reactions across social media circles, with some reprimanding her for handling the matter in a manner that’s uncharacteristic of a leader.

Ms. Muteshi, who recorded another video, now regrets doing what she did, saying she’s human and susceptible to emotions, and is apologizing to the MP because noting that he’s a family man and a leader.

“I am a human being and prone to anger; I am prone to getting emotional. We have individual differences; the way I react is not the same way somebody else will react,” she said.

The leader said the clothes that she burned in the video did not belong to the MP but were her presents to him.

“They were only a gift that I had intended to give to the said leader. Due to emotions, I did what happened,” she added, saying she has no clothes in her house that belong to the leader.

“And I want to say I am sorry to the people of Lurambi, to those who look at me as a role model, and to anyone who might not have liked what happened.”
