Youths from Lugari Ward in Lugari Sub-County are urging Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula to work from the county office at Panpaper, which has been idle since it was launched in July 2022.
The youths believe that it will be easier to reach out to the leader, who is a former MP in the constituency, and air out their grievances.
Led by Delvine Ondego, an aspiring Lugari Ward MCA, the youths said it is improper for Savula to work in Kakamega when there’s an office nearby where he can easily attend to people from the northern region, which is far from the headquarters in Kakamega town.
“We are urging our former MP to work closely by relocating to the office at Panpaper. He promised us a lot, and we haven’t seen him implement any of them,” he said.
Mr. Ondego blamed the county government for wasting resources as the office lies idle with no one to attend to Wananchi.
“We want to feel part of the government we voted for. We have been neglected for too long, and I am afraid that may not end soon,” he said.
