Detectives are investigating an incident in which the body of a university student was found lying lifeless in his room at an apartment in Kakamega.
Erick Siku Mambole, a 21-year-old student at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, failed to wake up for three days and was found dead in his room on Sunday at around 8 p.m.
His death was discovered after his landlord grew suspicious after failing to see him for three days and called the police who opened the house and found his body on the bed.
Police said they found the body with foam oozing from his mouth but with no visible injuries at the time it was picked up at the mortuary pending autopsy.
