Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera has promised to sponsor 100 students to study at the Chebaywa Technical Training Institute which is set to make the first intake in September.
The lawmaker said this while addressing parents and students at Panpaper Primary School during the inauguration of an eight-classroom storey building on Monday.
Mr. Nabwera said this will reduce crime among the youth and equip them with valuable knowledge and skills.
“There are many young people who have completed Form Four but are riding boda boda. I will ensure they are put in the right place to progress in life,” he said.
He admitted that young people are the cause of the surging cases of crime in Lugari Constituency because they have nothing to do.
He has asked parents not to stay with their children who have completed Form Four but to send them to colleges to learn courses that will be helpful to them.
