Former Nominated Senator Daisy Nyongesa’s relationship with her husband, Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera, is a match made in heaven.
In a lighthearted post shared on her Facebook page, Mrs. Nabwera playfully revealed that she has been the chef behind her husband’s favorite uji (porridge) for the past 13 years, and there’s no end in sight for her culinary devotion.
The couple was spotted feeling cozy during the burial of Mzee Buyai Soita in Mukhalanya Village in Chevaywa Ward in Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County, on Friday. Seated closely together, they exchanged laughs and a tender hug—a heartwarming scene perfectly captured on camera.
Senator Nyongesa took to social media to reflect on the event.
“Now! I was seated next to the area MP Hon. Nabii Nabwera. Story for another day. Life ni fupi, be happy, enjoy it as it comes because mambo ya watu wanajifunika blanket moja nani tokayo… because mimi ndio huwa napika uji for the last 13 years na siwachi hivi karibuni,” she wrote in a lengthy post honoring those who turned up for the event.
Mrs. Nabwera also extended her condolences to the grieving family while celebrating the life of the late Mzee Soita, who lived to the age of 93. She spoke of him as a unifying force in his family, highlighting his role in educating his children both academically and in terms of values.
“You could admire from the way they praised him. He educated his children academically and in mannerism. He prepared for his departure; what a great planner he was,” she wrote.
