The KCB Foundation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lugari Constituency to support young and aspiring entrepreneurs through the ambitious 2Jiajiri program.
Through the partnership, the KCB Foundation has contributed Sh12 million that will go into assisting youths expand their small businesses, online ventures and start-ups.
The signing of the MoU took place on Friday during an event at Majengo Primary School in Lumakanda Ward, where the Member of Parliament for Lugari, Nabii Nabwera, met with Annastacia Kimtai, Managing Director of KCB Bank, and Mendi Njonjo, Director of KCB Foundation.
This collaboration between Lugari Constituency Development Fund (CDF) program and the KCB Foundation promises equal contributions from both sides, with a matching ratio of 1:1, as stipulated in the MoU.
The constituency intends to use the money to facilitate access to technical and vocational training, impart diverse skills training to both youth and MSMEs, enhance capacity and offer mentorship to project beneficiaries.
Additionally, the initiative aims to boost training and financial support for local chamas in various markets, as well as conduct research to identify emerging challenges and potential interventions.
