Lugari MP Ayub Savula left a crowd in Shinyalu jeering and cheering after he claimed that he is man enough than Ruto for he has three wives while Ruto has one.
Savula made the remarks moments after seizing the mic during the Azimio la Umoja campaign rally at Shinyalu market in Kakamega County today, which is part of ODM leader Raila Odinga’s four-day tour across Western Kenya.
“Mimi naitwa Ayub Savula Angatia, mtoto wa pastor kutoka kule Lugari… Mimi ni ndume kushinda Ruto…mimi nina bibi tatu na Ruto ana moja, ataniambia nini!” A fiery Savula retorted as seen in a video.
The two-term lawmaker also called out Ruto for claiming that Raila is using government resources to fund his campaigns.
“Sisi tuna pesa tutasukuma hii Azimio lazima aingine ndani,” he said.
Mr. Savula also took the chance to ask the residents to support his bid in the Kakamega gubernatorial race, although Raila has already endorsed former KETRACO CEO Fernandes Barasa as his favorite to take over from Wycliffe Oparanya.
Odinga’s campaign is entering the fourth day tomorrow and he is expected in Lugari, Savula’s once bedrock which has drastically lost trust in him.
