The newly formed Marakusi Location in the Lugari Division of Lugari Sub-County is searching for a person to fill the position of its first chief.
Marakusi, which initially was under Chief Evans Adavaji, split from Lugari Location after it was deemed too big to be under one jurisdiction.
Lugari Division will now have two locations, Lugari and Marakusi.
Among the qualifications put down in the notice from the office of the Deputy County Commissioner in Lugari Sub-County, William Lenaromo, one must be not less than 35 years of age, must have scored a C (plain) in KCSE or its equivalent from a recognized examining body and must have a diploma in courses outlined.
The new chief will be expected to promote law and order, implement the ‘Nyumba Kumi’ initiative, and coordinate activities of various developmental committees in the location, among other duties.
