Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) pupils in Endebess Constituency of Trans Nzoia County will benefit from the new milk program launched by area MP Dr. Robert Pukose.

Speaking at Nai Secondary School during the sub-county stakeholders education forum, Dr. Pukose said children from the 77 ECDE schools in the constituency will enjoy milk that will be supplied in schools every week on Monday.

Dr. Pukose said since he took over the constituency in 2013, he has invested much in education.

“Currently, the constituency has 70 primary schools from the initial 40 while secondary schools are 25 in number from seven before I took over leadership in 2013,” he said.

The lawmaker revealed that more new secondary schools are coming up in the 2022/2023 financial year which include Endebess Center, Nabeki, Salama, Kibosit, Chemukengeni, Cheberem and Kiptogot.

The school milk programme was a past tense in schools for decades after the late President Daniel Moi left government in 2002.

A resident, Peter Emuria, noted how beneficial the program is in encouraging children to embrace education.
