A personal assistant to one of the female aspiring Members of the County Assembly (MCA) for Lugari Ward is reportedly facing the wrath of residents for squandering money given to her in handouts instead of distributing it to voters “as instructed”.
A resident told the WKT Grapevine that the campaign manager recently failed to give out some Sh15,000 to residents after assembling them for a rally. She instead took the money away for herself.
“The woman is fond of that behavior. She is now on our radar. We are going to give her a taste of her medicine by not voting for her candidate,” one woman was heard saying, according to our gossiper.
Another woman was heard saying that the money seems not to be helping her because “she is just struggling like us”.
The PA is said to be aggressive in deals with politicians but, instead, ends up putting a huge chunk of the money she is given in her pocket instead of sharing it with the residents.
