President-elect William Ruto today attended a thanksgiving prayer ceremony in Githunguri in Kiambu County in what he says was a show of gratitude to the people of Kiambu for overwhelmingly voting for him.

The church service was conducted by members of the clergy from the Gathiruini Presbyterian Church Of East Africa (P.C.E.A).

Ruto quoted a verse from the book of Psalms on his social media handles.

“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song — Psalm 95:1-2,” he posted.
