41 lawyers to represent Raila Odinga in the Supreme Court

Raila filed his petition to the SC on Monday.

Azimio la Umoja flagbearer Raila Odinga has released a list of lawyers who will represent him in the upcoming Supreme Court petition battle.

In a statement released today by his presidential secretariat spokesman Makau Mutua, the battalion of legal minds will ensure the former Prime Minister relinquishes victory in the apex court.

Siaya governor-elect and Senior Counsel, James Orengo, will be the lead counsel and assisted by Senior Counsel Pheroze Nowrojee, SC Philip Murgor and SC Okong’o Omogeni.

The case management team, led by Raila Odinga’s long-time lawyer, Paul Mwangi, is composed of Jackson Awele, Julie Soweto, Velma Maumo, Prof Ben Sihanya, Fred Orego, Dan Maanzo, and Tom Macharia.

Other lawyers include Tony Moturi, Dr. Judy Oloo, Celestine Opiyo, Arnold Oginga, Barbara Malowa, Addah Awiti, Justus Jura, Leonard Okanda, Plister Omondi and Winnie Makaba, Jerusah Michael, Deborass Bubi, George Ouma, Edward Ambala, Geoffrey Sore, Naila Salim, Tabitha Wathuti, John Njomo, Jacqueline Njoroge, Speranza Nywaira, Kinyua, Hannington Amol, Ndegwa Njiiru, Mathews Okoth, Kennedy Wanyanga and Kevin Katisya.

Raila Odinga and eight other parties filed a petition on Monday challenging the declaration of William Ruto as the president-elect.
