Uhuru meets Ruto to hand over State House keys

Outgoing President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally met President-elect William Ruto and wished him all the best as he takes over the country from him tomorrow.

Uhuru met Ruto at State House after months of cold silence between them, a few hours ahead of Dr. Ruto’s inauguration tomorrow as Fifth President of the Republic of Kenya.

Uhuru is expected to hand over power to Ruto in the function to be officiated by Chief Justice Martha Koome tomorrow September 13, 2022, at the Moi International Sports Centre in Kasarani, Nairobi.

At least 20 Heads of State from across Africa are expected to grace the function.
