Mautuma Ward Member of the County Assembly (MCA) Charles Anyona has led a cleaning exercise in Makutano Market in Lugari Constituency a few hours after being sworn in with 88 others in the Kakamega County Assembly.
While speaking to traders and residents who joined him in the exercise, Anyona stated that his first assignment is to clean the market of waste that has been dumped all over.
“Traders need a conducive environment for their businesses to flourish,” the new MCA said.
He also promised his constituents to come up with waste bins and create a dumping site to manage waste.
“It is time to work and create a suitable environment for traders and make them enjoy the devolution,” he reiterated.
