Ghana retaliation against South Korea revives hope of entering knock-out

Kudus second goal upset the resilience South Korea.

Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus’ sterling performance assisted the Black Stars acquire three points and revived hopes of qualifying for the knock out stage in this evening’s match against South Korea.

Mohamed Salisu opened the scoring for the Black Stars at the 25th minute before Kudus put them further forward in the 34th minute after converting a brazen assist from Ayew.

The South Koreans, who drew Uruguay in their first encounter, quickly leveled things up at the 58th and 61st minutes through headers by Cho Gue-sung after the break.

Undeterred, Ghana retaliated in the 68th minute when Kudus put in his second goal to make things spicy for Ghana 3-2.

Ghana is now at position 3 in Group H, just a goal behind Portugal which is locking horns with Uruguay at 10 PM EAT.
