A 44-year-old man from Lukhome in Kiminini Sub-county, Trans Nzoia County, has been forced to undergo the knife in front of his wife and children after allegedly dodging it for years.
An irate mob consisting of Bukusu kinsmen is said to have whisked Peter Onyango, who is has been married for eight years and has three children, to the river where they smeared him with mud and paraded for cut as per the communities traditions.
His wife Janet Musenya said the man has been fearfully dodging circumcision, something that has been irking her.
“I realized that he was afraid of the pain but I could not withstand living with him. I am happy that he is now a complete man,” she said and swore to take care of her husband during as he nurses the wound.
Onyango, after the cut, said he is now relieved from the ridicule he has been received for not having undergone the cut.
“I call upon well-wishers to support my family with food for the time that I will still be nursing the wound since I cannot undertake any meaningful work,” he said.
