Former Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha is dead.
Magoha passed on at the Nairobi Hospital following a cardiac arrest.
Reports reaching the Western Kenya Times news desk reveal that the professor collapsed at his house in Nairobi, before being rushed to Nairobi Hospital, where he eventually passed on.
Magoha was appointed by President Uhuru Kenyatta as the Cabinet Secretary of Education after serving the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC)
The late professor will be remembered as a staunch educationist, who advocated for 100% transition into secondary after primary school.
He has died at the age of 71.
