Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya will pay school fees for students joining Form One in his county.
The governor said he’d pump in money to clear school fees for 4,800 students who scored 250 marks and above and another batch of those who garnered 350 marks and above.
This was during the launch of the 100 days Rapid Results Initiative (RRI) organized on Wednesday in his county.
The governor also promised to enroll all teachers on permanent and pensionable terms and give them a scheme of service, apart from introducing a feeding program in which all ECDE pupils will be given porridge and milk.
“My administration will also hire an additional 35 instructors at vocational and training centers and sponsor all students to undergo training as a way of increasing the number of those who will join the institutions,” he said.
