Member of County Assembly (MCA) for Matulo Ward, Stephen Simiyu, wants the security apparatus to intensify high end operations to curb skyrocketing insecurity in Webuye.
Stephen Simiyu’s come following the brutal murder of a night security guard by unknown assailants at the Waroju business joint in Webuye town.
The guard, who was in his mid 20s, was killed using crude weapons, according to a police report.
The incident happened few meters from Webuye east police headquarters.
Several homesteads were raided in the same night and the thieves made away with goods amounting to thousands of shillings.
The MCA also called upon the county security team to come up with strategies that will help end crime rate in Webuye.
