A police officer in Mlimani Estate near the Kenya-Uganda border in Busia County fell victim to burglars who stupefied him and ended up robbing him of his firearm, gas cylinder, and two radios from other servant quarters.
One victim was allegedly sprayed with a substance before he was robbed after returning home at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. He found his house disorganized when he woke up on Sunday morning.
He noticed that his gun, a Czeska pistol, and 15 rounds of ammunition were missing.
“He woke up with a headache and was feeling dizzy only to realize his suitcase kept near his bed was lying on the floor with the clothes scattered all over,” police said.
Police later determined that his house was sprayed with a stupefying drug before the thugs broke in through the rear door.
The burglars also broke into other rooms in the servants’ quarter and stole a six-kg gas cylinder and radios.
