Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has banned students from wearing indecent attire while in school.
In an internal memo, the school restricted students from wearing mini-skirts, crocks, skin-tight trousers, ragged, torn, or ripped jeans, and low-cut blouses.
Students are also prohibited from wearing microshorts, transparent dresses, attire that shows bra straps, or sleeveless T-shirts.
They have also been banned from wearing T-shirts with obscene writing, slippers, all kinds of plastic shoes, sagging trousers and clothing that reveals their chest.
“I take this opportunity to appreciate all the students who dress decently when they come to the university. However, we have observed and noted with concern the indecent dressing by some of you,” read the memo by Dean of Students Dr. Bernardatte Abwao in part.
