Residents of Kesses Constituency in Uasin Gishu County are now calling for the ejection of Moi University vice chancellor, Prof. Isaac Kosgey, accusing him of sabotaging the region’s economy.
The residents, who are said to be quietly supported by senior managers at the institution, are accusing the vice chancellor of frequent firings of casual laborers and freezing the employment market for the institution’s workers.
The residents, while protesting on Monday, asked the former Vice Chancellor, Laban Ayiro, forgiveness, saying they were forced by local politicians to chase him away and be replaced by ‘one of their own’.
