Lugulu man burnt beyond recognition for stealing widow’s sheep

This could have been the end of his 40 days, in a night.

A man from Bunjosi Village in Lugulu, Webuye West Sub-county in Bungoma County, met his fate after he was allegedly caught trying to steal sheep.

Residents said the man, a suspected serial thief, was found by youths who were coming from a funeral at night, putting the sheep in a crate tied to a motorbike.

The man tried fleeing after the young men confronted him, but he was cornered. Soon after, an old woman, who was searching for her lost sheep, appeared, something that prompted them to land on the man.

The suspect was then set on fire along with his motorbike, despite him pleading for forgiveness.

He was burnt beyond recognition.

Police carried away his remains to the Webuye Sub-County Hospital morgue as investigations commence.
