Alex Atingo is the winner of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party ticket in substandard nominations held on Wednesday in polling centers across Lugari Constituency.
Lwandeti and Chevaywa wards are reported not to have participated in the primaries that critics say were poorly organized.
According to provisional results we managed to source, Atingo was leading with 1,574 votes ahead of his closest opponent, Jairus Omanya Amukhoya who had 1,182 votes.
The final results gave Atingo the lead.
Atingo will be facing off with the likes of Nabii Nabwera of ODM, Bryan Liseche of UDP and Isaac Andabwa of DAP-K in a battle to succeed Ayub Savula.
Sam Oduor is the editor-in-chief at the Western Kenya Times who leverages the power of the Internet in telling stories that shape opinions.
Congrats Atingo God choose you to be the winner.
