Kakamega County gubernatorial candidate for ODM, Fernandes Barasa, has promised to deliver Western Kenya votes massively to his boss, Raila Odinga.
The former KETRACO CEO said his team will garner 95 percent of the vote and joked that ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi will only manage 70 percent of the 5 percent that remains.
Mudavadi and his Western Kenya brigade are vigorously searching for at least 70% of votes from Western Kenya to be assured of lucrative slots if the alliance presidential flag bearer, William Ruto, forms the next government.
Mudavadi and Wetangula, who were promised a 30 percent share of Ruto’s government in case they meet the deal’s requirements, chest-thumped in their recent rallies that they are capable of even 90% of the Western Kenya votes.
At a rally in Mumias West, Barasa said the love of the people in Mumias has shown him the support Azimio and Raila have.
“This crowd here shows how much they love Baba and me. Let us continue with the same momentum,” he said.
