Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala’s running mate, Beatrice Inyangala, has heightened campaigns to drum up support for his gubernatorial bid, saying that she has enough confidence in him.
Ms. Inyangala, who started the week by touring Lugari Constituency and then Lurambi Constituency, told supporters that Malala’s rise from being an MCA to a senator is a signal that he will make it to the governor’s posts and eventually the presidency.
In a video posted on Malala’s Twitter page, a confident Inyangala said that by the time Malala will be serving as Kenya’s President, she will be Kakamega Governor.
“Cleophas has a vision for you. That’s why I left what I was doing to follow him. He is humble and attentive to the voices of the common mwananchi unlike our opponents,” she said.
Ms. Inyangala went on to say that their experience put together will turn Kakamega into a city in the next ten years.
