A family in Kakamega is in distress after a young girl killed her older brother following a quarrel over a piece of mattress.
The family told the media that the brother and his sister had been having unending fights that turned tragic over the weekend.

Their mother, Margaret Shioso, said her deceased son had been against his sister’s relationship with a police officer attached to the Eshihongo Patrol Base, who has been sneaking into her room whenever the parents are away.
“The police officers in the area drink all day and feast on our girls at night. We want all of them transferred,” a neighbor complained.
The girl is currently in custody pending further investigation and prosecution. The body of his brother was transferred to Kakamega County Hospital pending burial arrangements.
