The father of the girl who went missing two months ago in the Rusinga area of Chekalini Ward, Lugari Sub-county, has asked anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to help.
Mr. Kenneth Katana Kaburu earlier reported that her daughter, Brenda Nanyama, a student at Friends Lukhokho Secondary in Lwandeti Ward, disappeared from home on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at around 10 a.m. without a trace.
“I cannot sleep. I always imagine something bad has happened to her, such as the two accidents that occurred yesterday at Magut and Chimoi, in which I thought maybe my daughter was among those who were burned beyond recognition or she died in a similar manner elsewhere,” Mr. Katana said.

The 18-year-old girl disappeared when her father and mother were not at home and had left her with her siblings, who are also unaware of the direction she took.
Efforts to find her have proven futile, even after two men were arrested and put in police custody at the Lumakanda Police Station in connection with the incident. The men denied knowing where she was and were neither linked to her disappearance.
“Police have been assisting me, and whenever I tip them, they respond immediately, but all attempts have failed. Even her classmates are baffled, they know her as a cool girl who is not capable of just disappearing without leaving a word,” he said.
Her mother said she mostly speaks Kiswahili, and she was last seen putting on a skirt with black, white, and red spots and a reddish sweater.
Mr. Katana said he has reached the point where he just wants to know where her daughter is in whatever condition she will be in.
“Whether pregnant, injured, or dead, I just want to know her fate and get over it,” he said.
