Lugari MP Nabii Daraja Nabwera has promised to build prestigious primary and secondary schools like Alliance Boys and Alliance Girls in his constituency.
The first-time lawmaker said this is part of his well-thought-out initiative that will be implemented through improving infrastructure to create a suitable environment for teachers and learners as part of a whole strategy towards revamping the academic levels in the constituency.
Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony for a storey building for four classrooms at Makhukhuni Primary School sponsored by Hongera Foundation Kenya on Thursday, Mr. Nabwera expressed his passion for the future of children under his leadership.
“My dream is to see every child in Lugari get equal opportunities just like those in Nairobi and other areas. I would like them to get better than what I received during my time,” he said.
Hongera Foundation Kenya, which was represented by Ms. Joyce Anali, delivered a cheque worth Sh4 million to aid the construction of the storey building, the first one ever in a primary school in Lugari.
The legislator informed local leaders, parents, teachers, learners, education stakeholders, and all who attended the event of his plan to budget Sh10 million from the NG-CDF for building similar classrooms.
“In the next four years, God willing, no one will take his child to Alliance because we are building Alliance here in Lugari,” he said.
