A 9-year-old girl seen in a viral clip dancing and singing enthusiastically for Lugari MP Nabii Nabwera would like to meet him and share her plight for a better education and good life for her mother, who raises her single-handedly.
Rebeccah Hilder, as her name goes, is a Grade Three pupil at the Blue Bells Academy in Lugari Ward. She was recorded singing and dancing to her own tune to the area MP .
The little girl spoke to the Western Kenya Times and mentioned a few requests she would to table in the event she meets the MP.
Asked why only Mr. Nabwera, the girl said she loves him and thinks that he is the only person capable of listening to her and helping her reach her goals.
She said she would like to seek the MP’s audience and request him to sponsor her education up to university as well as buy her mother a cow for milk to help them earn a living.
“We’re really struggle as a family. My mom sells firewood so that we can have food. Our house is not in good condition. I would like him to buy a cow for my mom so that we can sell milk and buy food,” she said.
Little Rebecca would like to be a surgeon when she grows up.
Her Mother Mama Violet Vyanamo termed her a disciplined kid who is fond of going to church and a prayer warrior. She regretted that she cannot afford her food and fees and would appreciate for any help if forthcoming.
