Activities in Kakamega town have been paralyzed this morning after residents took to the streets to back up Raila Odinga’s mass action against the cost of living and other things.
Police were forced to lob teargas to disperse the crowd of protesters who matched through the town chanting “Ruto Must Go”.
Videos and photos shared online show the streets flocked, unusual of the town that remains peaceful during such occurences.
Kakamega now joins Nairobi, Kisumu and other towns where supporters of the Azimio coalition have come out in unison of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Raila, apart from agitating the cost of living, wants President William Ruto’s government to involve the opposition in the selection of new IEBC commissioners.
