Kiminini: Small traders lament exorbitant taxes, harassment

The traders want the new government by governor George Natembeya to put up measures to promote their businesses

Small traders in Kiminini market in Trans Nzoia county have raised concern about the inflated taxes charged by the county government.

The traders complained that their hustles generate low income and challenged the new governor, George Natembeya, to give them grants instead of exploiting them through exorbitant taxes.

One of the traders, Priscah, told West FM that the new administration should exempt them from paying taxes on Sundays because they only work half a day after worship.
