ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has vowed to deliver 90 percent of Western Kenya votes to the Kenya Kwanza basket in the August general election.
Mudavadi, who was at one time Kenya’s vice president, expressed confidence that the people of Mulembe are greatly supporting his camp.
“Western Kenya will overwhelmingly vote for Kenya Kwanza and our team captain DP William Ruto,” he said.
Mudavadi made the remarks while drumming up support for Kenya Kwanza in Kipsigon, Mt. Elgon, Bungoma, Mbale, Kiminini and Kakamega accompanied by Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala, former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale among other leaders.
“We want to commit towards ensuring that through the Kenya Kwanza Government that will be formed after the 9th of August 2022, the welfare of our people and their interests will be accommodated and taken care of,” he said.
DP William Ruto had earlier asked Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula to bring on the table at least 70 percent of the Luhya votes for a deal in case their camp forms the next government.
